MANITOWOC, Wis.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Orion Energy Systems continues to establish its daylighting footprint in Europe through the commercial sale of its industry-leading Apollo® Solar Light Pipes.

Orion and Roofco Limited recently agreed to a strategic business partnership for the installation of Apollo® Solar Light Pipes in European commercial facilities. The first product shipments arrived in mid-October. Roofco Limited is a subsidiary of United Kingdom based Ross Holdings Group.

Orion's patented Apollo® Solar Light Pipe utilizes the lowest cost light available — the sun. Daylight is harvested through the revolutionary dome and travels through the sealed light pipe. Focused daylight then enters the building, effectively lighting specific work areas below. The Apollo® Solar Light Pipe is designed to be a one-for-one daytime replacement of a typical electrical lighting fixture.

In addition to the recent agreement with Roofco, Orion continues its 20-month relationship with international roofing giant Derbigum, which is installing Apollo ® Solar Light Pipes for companies across Europe. Marketed and re-sold under the brand name "Daylyte by Derbigum," the Apollo® Solar Light Pipe is fully produced and packaged in Manitowoc, Wis.

Derbigum, which has two production facilities in Belgium and one in the United States, has manufactured and installed high-end commercial roofing for more than 70 years. Derbigum has shipped the Apollo® Solar Light Pipe for roofing projects in Belgium, Italy, Germany, France, Iceland, Switzerland, Holland and Norway.
