Providing the best of High-intensity Fluorescent and LED technologies in one fixture

MANITOWOC, Wis.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Orion Energy Systems Inc. (NYSE Amex: OESX) launched new cutting-edge technology this week at the ProMat 2011 show in Chicago, IL.

The new Advanced Hybrid Lighting Platform combines the best of both High-intensity Fluorescent and LED technologies in one fixture.

Designed for high-bay applications, the LED section provides rapid cycling with instant on/off as often as required for low-level lighting needs while the HIF section illuminates an aisle with high levels of superior quality light at the lowest possible cost. Used in conjunction with the InteLite® Dynamic Control device, InteLite® automatically adjusts Advanced Hybrid Lighting Platform light output based on the duration of the motion in its area. The result is unmatched savings for lighting costs.

When compared to a competing fluorescent high-bay fixture, deploying the Hybrid platform combined with Orion's patent-pending InteLite® Dynamic Control is the lowest cost of operation for aisle lighting.

"Bright was easy, but smart is where the money is," stated Orion Founder and CEO Neal Verfuerth in regard to the decreased costs, increased revenue and enhanced safe work environment achieved by deploying the Advanced Hybrid Lighting Platform.
